1. Remove ammonia nitrogen from wastewater. The increase of ammonia nitrogen content in water will lead to water nutriment, algae multiplication, sharp decrease of dissolved oxygen and serious deterioration of water quality, thus destroying the water ecological balance. Therefore, the effective control and reduction of ammonia nitrogen in sewage has become a new subject of modern sewage treatment technology. The removal of ammonia nitrogen from Zeolite was studied experimentally in our company. The results of removing ammonia nitrogen with Zeolite showed that the pH value of wastewater had great influence on the removal of ammonia from Zeolite, and reached the maximum exchange capacity when the pH value was 6.7.
2. Remove heavy metal ions in waste water. Zinc, chromium, nickel and other heavy metal ions are substances that cause environmental pollution and are extremely harmful to human body. Methods of elimination include activated carbon adsorption, solvent extraction and ion exchange. Zeolite can remove almost all heavy metal ions in water. The experiment shows that Zeolite can be used to treat the above three heavy metal ions better. The heavy metal ions adsorbed and exchanged by Zeolite can also be concentrated and recovered, and Zeolite can be recycled after treatment. After treatment, the contents of zinc, cadmium and nickel in the wastewater are all lower than the national standard.
3. Remove radioactive materials. Using the ion exchange property of Zeolite, the 137Cs and 90Sr of radioactivity in water can be eliminated, especially the selectivity of 137Cs of radioactive material, which is far higher than other alkali elements and alkaline earth elements. Moreover, Zeolite exchanged 137Cs can be used intact as a radioactive source, especially the role of acyclic Zeolite is more obvious. In order not to diffuse radioactive material contamination, the radioactive ions can be permanently fixed in the crystal lattice of Zeolite by melting Zeolite. Because the dissolution of the small chip of melting Zeolite is very slow, the loss of 1% of radioactive material needs 50A.
